When your friend calls you up and asks you to meet her at the gym for the 10:00 am Advanced Pilates class, DO. NOT. GO. Your stomach muscles will thank you. Like holding the bridge whilst on the bloody hot dog roll thingy is doing anything but ruining my life. And that girl? Across from me? Who had the kicky hair-do and the children's size yoga pants on and showing the wee little tummy? She can get run over by a Mac truck any SECOND now.
OWWWWWWWWWWWWWW. Adv. Pilates has KICKED MY ASS. (And stomach)
*Edited to add:* I've been taking Pilates for almost 2 years now, and while I've progressed through Level One Pilates and Level Two, I've stayed the hell away from the Advanced class because it SUCKS ASS. Your "inner core" will never be the same again. OY, the pain!
And my friend promised me it would BE FUN. HA! Only if you mean fun as in tortuous pain.
What are Pilates anyhow?
