The husband and I headed to Orlando for 6 days of KID-FREE FUN. Disney, it really is the happiest place on earth. Heh.

New York City 2005

So we went to NYC and did fun things and forgot to take pictures of a whole lotta stuff. I'm too dang lazy to caption all the pics right now, but if you are smart you may be able to guess where some of the locations are. I'll give you a hint: Museum of Natural History Subway Empire State Building Circle Line Cruise 5th Avenue Times Square Wacky foreigners (oh wait, that isn't a location, just a given.) I have no idea how to make the taxi pic smaller. Just try and enjoy it.

September 2007

Huzzah!

Okaaaaaaay, school may have started last week, but I've been crazy busy and had absotootly no time to post, much less shower. I can't believe how quickly the summer flew by. We did a lot of fun stuff, half of I can't remember right now because Mah Brain? It's still in summer mode.

For example:
This morning I was making the baby's cereal and so I went and got her little bowl and went to fetch her cereal out of the cupboard. I then opened it and proceeded to pour it into my glass of ice tea. GAH. How flippin' intelligent is that?

I've also taken to walking into rooms and having absolutely no idea why I'm in said room.

Alzheimers?

Or maybe it's the fact that I wake up at 5:00 am and lie there all bright-eyed with my mind swirling with 50 billionty ideas and then I fall back asleep at 7:56 and the alarm (i.e. the baby) wakes me up 2 minutes later.

Anyway, where was I?

Oh, SUMMER. So, it's over. And now it's fall (well, it feels that way) and the VMA'S are over and WTF? is up with BritBrit's hair? OH MAH WURD. Who let her go on national TV with those extensions?

Ahem.

The kids are enjoying their teachers this year. Mackie has a brand new-to-the-school teacher and Keats has a teacher he's had before, but he's a cool guy, mom because he says words like fart. That's apparently the number one mad skill that 7th graders require in a teacher.

The baby? Oh, god, THE BABY. Let's see, she now walks runs, talks (baby, mama, dada, hot, sis, meow, ruff, and inexplicably, this), can get off the bed/couch/chair and basically does anything to appear 3 years older. What is she going to be like at 3? And god forbid, 13? But we love her and all her smartness because how could you not love this face?

GRRRH&%TGU*I)(*(*&^T^%$##%R?!@##@!#%%$#^&^TYPEPAD! I can't upload pics for some reason.

We had a very low-key 1st birthday for her and Mackenzie on Labor day. Mac had already had her "friend" party at Great Wolf Lodge in August, so we had just the family for the day. Not that we don't love big hoopla birthdays, but come on, she's one.

My mother is appearing on October 4th for her annual visit.

ANDWHEREISTHATBOTTLEOFWINE?

Yes, she is arriving and I'm not prepared and have I mentioned the house is a disaster? *deep breath* I have been making great strides to clean this place up. Like yesterday? I did 4 whole loads of laundry. That 2 more than I did all summer. I'm on a roll, baby. And today? I cleaned the bathroom. And thought about clearing the living room of all the neatly folded piles of laundry from yesterday, but decided nah, I'll just make the kids do it when they come home from school. Because that's what my kids like to do clean and did ditches for septic tanks.
