Further Proof that My Kids Are Klutzy
Just like moi.
Had to make another ER visit last night after the eldest boy smashed his right pinky finger into the windshield of the van while he was playing tag outside with his brother. How he did that, I have no idea. Arms flailing wildly, anyone?
After looking at the damage (finger pointing in the wrong direction), I packed him up and drove him to the hospital.
Three hours later, we finally got an x-ray and a diagnosis from an overly gleeful Dr. who was thrilled to see this sort of break. (apparently it's very rare - well, duh!) He put a temporary cast on it as the boy needs to see the plastic surgeon today because he most likely will need surgery to get it set.
I woke up feeling more churlish that usual, most likely due to the fact that I had minimal sleep as I tossed and turned worrying about the boy and also evading the husband and his friskiness.
Am now heading back to the hospital to sit in the waiting room with more sick and odd people so that we can see the surgeon on call.
Please pray that I don't contract some disgusting disease while sitting in the ER and that the boy gets a waterproof cast so he can shower. He's delighted at the thought of missing a bath or two. He's bummed though because the good weather is finally here and he can't go golfing this weekend.
Oy.

So sorry to hear about boy. Aren't these kids always getting into something? I have to close my eyes when Erin goes screaming down the street on her bike. Will get her a full set of knee/elbow pads for her upcoming 5th birthday!

Oh gosh!! I hope the setting goes well and that you don't lose your mind. I hate hospitals with a passion.

Hope the boy is OK and you didn't contract anything horrible.
